this winter
as it rests upon the leaves
of autumn, those which have
died
atop the grass of the humid summer,
that grew from the soil
of last winter.

again and
again
and again
by heart.

i wish i had the power
to be so perfectly
lovely
and devastating
all at once.

I don’t know. I guess I just want people to read this. It’s deceptively simply, and dripping in feeling. I find a lot of poetry to be somewhat over-wrought: Phen’s are always very finely built. There’s nothing more than what there should be in them.
It would be lovely if someone could provide an accompanying illustration to this.
