INSTRUMENTALISTS: Please refer to these notes when contributing to the Pine Cone Ballet collab. CONTRIBUTE HERE
* As for the score, we’re still in need of some instruments…Mostly, strings: Violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. We’re trying to build a big, lush sound for this, so check the notes in the collab for details on how we can achieve that. String players! Let’s hear your parts!
* If you can, please play multiple passes of each part. The more the better! We want this to sound like a full string section, so the more layers we can get, the fuller we can make it sound. And, as always, please post your isolated stems. 24/48 wav’s or aiff’s are preferable.
* And of course, all other musicians are welcome to continue contributing to the score!
NOTE: Please refer to THIS SCORE when contributing. Also, please read THESE NOTES for additional information.
CALLING ALL UPRIGHT BASS PLAYERS! We’ve had some fantastic contributions to the "I Love Happy Endings" collab & the mix is sounding great - and now we’d like to add Upright Bass to the mix.
UPRIGHT BASS PLAYERS: Add Upright Bass to THIS MIX. The parts that really need it is the Chorus & Instrumental section. What we need is a solid I-V with a few runs and walks here and there. This Bass will really glue this whole thing together. If you have multiple ideas, do multiple takes!
Your contributions to the "808 Beat" collaboration have taken Krrr’s original beat in so many unexpected directions. We were thinking it’d be cool to tell the story of how a simple resource evolved into a ton of great songs!
VIDEO EDITORS & NARRATORS: Tell the story of how this collaboration evolved from one resource into so many different resulting audio records. Splicing together all the different versions could be a key element to the storytelling process.
Wow — this is a super unexpected remix of the 808 beat. I really love the cut-up archival song blending in perfectly and starting to define a structure of verses and choruses. And there are already a bunch of other divergent remixes that I really like, like this one "To The Moon." Can’t wait to see what happens as this progresses!
CALLING ALL MUSICIANS: Let’s turn Krrr’s new "808 Beat" into a series of diverse songs! It’s currently a very foundational beat, so let’s remix this into something super unexpected - maybe by adding a classical music spin to it, or slowing it down & turning it into a singer/songwriter tune.
