PHOTOGRAPHERS, CINEMATOGRAPHERS, & VISUAL ARTISTS: Using Macro Photography/Cinematography and Graphic Effects, start creating Visuals for these selected lines of Metaphorest’s "Worlds Within Worlds" poem.
WORLDS WITHIN WORLDS: Numbered Shot List
Every cranny, nook and nub with wondering eyes abuzz with being
Where once was but a molehole, gapes a portal, tunnels teasing
Each tree I see is home to imps or nymphs, hobbits or hermits
Why there are homes for gnomes and forts for fairies - yes indeed!
Cubby holes and hiding huts in weeping willow dens
I tiptoe past the tower where the princess sure is hidden
While the firth it froths and fizzes, tendrils stretching to the shore
In its depths swim secret selkies, kelpies, mermen, maids and more
Instead the inky black unveils a sea of twinkling lights
That muses mingle with the mosses, grasses, ferns and bark
NOTES: Feel free to refer to the poem for other allusions. Possible visuals could include tight close-ups of trees, grass, leaves, etc.
Let’s build up a repertoire of visuals for Metaphorest’s poem “Worlds Within Worlds” - contribute your macro photography or cinematography, image records, and animations.

GRAPHIC ARTISTS: Remix visuals from the site to go with with each of the lines.
CINEMATOGRAPHERS: Shoot Video Footage that corresponds to each of the lines.

I’m really happy to sign 637 checks totaling $306,600 to the Contributing Artists of 2012’s productions.
Now I know I say this every time we send out checks, but hitRECord is not about making money. It’s about the records we all get to make together. Still, I’m super thrilled to sign all of these checks and continue to pay our artists for their hard work.
Thanks again <3

ABOVE IT ALL: Numbered Script
Early one morning, my first thought awake
Was a burning idea, I just couldn’t shake
So I crept outside quickly and gathered my tools
But I did my work quietly, suffering no fools
I fastened the flappers and stitched all the strings
And that night, at long last, I completed my wings
There was no one around to see them unfold
But my breath grew quick and my heart grew bold
And soon I was soaring, oh, upwards and on
Til the sky was all ‘round and the ground was all gone
And I watched as each object, each person, each place
Became one glowing orb spinning slowly in space
And I thought to myself, ‘through the eyes of a bird
This life and this Earth seem entirely absurd’
Then I suddenly felt indescribably small
And wondered if anything mattered at all
Like what people wished for or what people felt
Or whether the ice caps would finally melt
Then, I realized, after an hour or two
That things matter because, well, they matter to you
Although what you do won’t change much from up here
It can comfort or crush those you find yourself near
This universe may be enormous and strange
But look close to home and there’s much you can change
And so I decided, that’s just what I’d do
Informed and enthused by my new point of view
Once I had landed back home safe and sound
I set about telling my folks what I’d found
I left out the part about flying through space
Since they wouldn’t believe me in any case
But they both smiled bright when I told them existence
Is surely best savored when seen from a distance
